FAQ

Can I modify any Printfab products?

LEGAL MODIFICATION DISCLAIMER:

In no event shall Printfab be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special consequential damages, to property, or equipment whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use. Modify at your own risk.

What material is used?

Printfab uses PETG HF from Bambu Lab.

PETG is preferred over PLA for its superior strength, durability, and heat resistance. It can withstand higher temperatures, offers better layer adhesion, and is more flexible, making it ideal for applications that need to endure stress or impact. Additionally, PETG has chemical resistance and can be made in clear forms. While PLA is more environmentally friendly, PETG is often chosen for its toughness, durability, and resilience in demanding conditions.

Can the 3D printed products deform?

The clear lids on PACKOUT units have a magnifying effect, which can lead to warping of plastic products when exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat. This is a common issue across all plastic PACKOUT accessories, including 3D printed parts and foam inserts.
